Dr. Santimaw combines his understanding of the human body in both health and disease with the principles of naturopathic medicine to provide his patients with a professional and integrative approach to optimal health. He strongly believes that a healthy lifestyle is easily attainable and works closely with all of his patients to help them achieve this goal.
Dr. Rick Santimaw is a Naturopathic Physician. He holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Kinesiology and Anatomy, a specialization that has helped him develop a firm understanding of the human body and all of its intricacies. Dr. Santimaw went on to graduate from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM) where he underwent extensive medical training, preparing him to competently diagnose and treat patients in a holistic manner. It was at BINM that he acquired a great appreciation for the delicate balance between all aspects of the human body, mind, and soul.
For all his life Dr. Santimaw has participated in a wide array of sports. This has given him insight into the pain, treatment, and recovery process associated with sports-related injuries. Naturally, Dr. Santimaw has developed a special interest in musculoskeletal injuries, sports medicine, injury rehabilitation, and chronic pain.
Dr. Santimaw is filled with enthusiastic positive energy and is committed to providing the highest standard of quality care for all his patients. He is proud to be a member of the team at Electra Health, a clinic specially designed with his patients’ needs and desires in mind. Dr. Santimaw is licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC), the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
